MATCHDAY 13 of the 2025-2026 Myanmar Women’s League took place over the first and second days on 7 and 8 January, with Ayeyawady, ISPE, and Thitsa Arman securing victories.
In the match held at Padonma Stadium on 7 January, Ayeyawady defeated Yangon United by one goal to nil. Ayeyawady continued their winning run in the second round and, with this victory over Yangon United, moved level in the title race with defending champions ISPE. Yangon United, meanwhile, fell further behind after the defeat and now trails leaders Ayeyawady by seven points with one match in hand, reducing their chances of competing for the championship. Phyu Phyu Win scored the only goal of the match in 27 minutes. Ayeyawady have collected 30 points from 12 matches, while Yangon United remain on 23 points from 11 matches.
At Thuwunna Youth Training Centre Ground 1, defending champions ISPE recorded a six-goal victory over Yangon City. ISPE continued to apply pressure in the title race, staying two points behind Ayeyawady with one match in hand as they seek to defend their crown. Shwe Yi Htun opened the scoring in 36 minutes, while Lin Myint Mo struck in 49, 50 and 70 minutes. Su Pyae Pyae Kyaw added goals in 55 and 80 minutes. ISPE now have 28 points from 11 matches, while Yangon City remain without a point after 12 matches.
Thitsa Arman defeated YREO by two goals to one at Yangon United Sports Complex on 8 January. YREO took the lead in
21 minutes through Win Sandar, but Myat Noe Khin equalized for Thitsa Arman from the penalty spot in 43 minutes before scoring the winning goal in 78 minutes.
The final day of Matchday 13 will be played today at Thuwunna Youth Training Centre Ground 1, where Myawady will face Shan United. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
