THE School Family Day ceremony is an education-related event jointly organized and participated in by teachers, parents, and students. It is not merely a single ceremony, but one that is systematically conducted at the different levels. By holding the School Family Day ceremony, closer unity and cooperation are fostered among teachers, parents, and students, and it also contributes to the overall development and advancement of education.

Myanmar’s education system is oriented toward the development of comprehensive education and is designed to teach, train, and nurture balanced development across multiple dimensions, namely physical, intellectual, moral, aesthetic, and vocational aspects. Only by developing these dimensions in a balanced and harmonious manner can well-rounded human resources with the necessary educational competencies emerge, capable of facing and addressing the challenges of the times.

Through the festival, parents and teachers come together to discuss and exchange ideas on how to effectively implement educational goals. In this way, students not only gain knowledge through classroom learning but also develop comprehensively in all five areas: physical strength, intellectual ability, moral character, emotional growth, and vocational skills.

Today’s education is aimed at building a well-rounded human society through comprehensive development. In contrast, it counters ignorance, backwardness, and harmful behaviours, as well as any influences that destroy or undermine proper development. Parents and teachers work together to guide and nurture students so that they grow up disciplined, knowledgeable, and capable. True progress can only be achieved when young people are aware of and embrace the values of proper education, while rejecting harmful influences.

The School Family Day Festival creates an environment that inspires and motivates students and young people to develop skills and acquire knowledge. Young learners, being naturally curious and eager to explore, gain the ability to learn effectively. In this way, teachers and parents provide guidance and support to help students develop the capacities needed to grow into responsible citizens who can take on the duties of the nation in the future and contribute positively to society.

Therefore, education is the ability to distinguish right from wrong, to think creatively, and to use knowledge effectively. To develop creativity and innovative abilities, teachers and parents must guide and teach students, while students themselves are encouraged to actively strive, acquire, and apply these skills. Education should inspire young people to reach the point where they can independently use what they have learned.
