Taninthayi 31 August

The water level of Taninthayi River exceeded its danger level starting from 27 August for the second time. Therefore, four schools were temporarily halted this morning and seven schools were suspended on 30 August. 

A total of 11 schools were temporarily suspended with the aims of ensuring students’ safety. Arrangements are being made to reopen the schools on Saturdays, Sundays and the days before the Sabbath Day for the days the schools were closed, according to Deputy Township Education Officer U Zaw Min Yu.
