A ceremony to open a vocational electrical wiring course, jointly organized by the Department of Rural Development and Government Technical High School, was held at the meeting hall of DRD in the town of Wandwin, Meiktila District, Mandalay Region this morning.

At the event, the township Administrator U Myo Tint delivered an opening speech. Then, Dr. Kyaw Khaing Khaing Aung, Director of Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training clarified the purpose of the training course and called on the trainees to practically apply the lessons learned in the training to generate more income for their families.

The 18-day training course is being attended by 20 trainees from Wandwin Township. Also present on the occasion were the township Administrator, Director of Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, staff officer of the township DRD, departmental officials and trainees.—Nyein Thu
