11 people injured as six-wheeled truck overturns in Hopin

11 people were injured after a six-wheeled truck overturned in Hopin Town, Kachin State, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
    

The accident took place near milepost 22/23 on the Monywa-Myitkyina Road at about 2:45 p.m. on 8 June when a six-wheeled truck driven by a man named Ko Thet from Seikkhun Village, Shwebo Township flipped over on the way to Myitkyina after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Firefighters from two nearby fire services station rushed to the scene of accident to carry out rescue operation.
    

11 people—three men and 8 women—were hurt in the accident and one of them is said to a life-threatening situation. All injured people have been sent to a public hospital in Mohnyin and action has been taken against the truck diver over reckless driving by the local police.
