126 companies blacklisted for labour rights violation

A total of 126 companies have been blacklisted for non-com­pliance with rules and regula­tions, as well as violations of labour rights in sending My­anmar workers to Thailand, the Ministry of Labour stated.

 

The blacklisted entities include 126 companies based in Thailand, 125 Thai citizens, and 20 agencies. Additionally, the licences of six Myanmar agencies have been temporar­ily revoked from six months to one year, and the licences of 43 agencies have been terminat­ed, according to the Ministry of Labour.

 

Out of nearly 500 agencies that have obtained licences to send workers abroad from My­anmar, 150 agencies of which are authorized to send workers to Thailand. — TWA/MKKS
