14th day meeting of Second Pyithu Hluttaw’s 12th regular session held

At the 14th day meeting of Second Pyithu Hluttaw’s 12th regular session held at Pyithu Hluttaw meeting hall yesterday morning, 10 asterisk marked questions were raised and answered, a report and a motion discussed and approved.

Asterisk marked questions

Questions raised by U Tun Tun Naing of Kani constituency on delays in self-help electrification program of 35 villages Kani Township and plan to provide assistance toward it, U Aye Naing of Dagon Myothit (South) constituency on a plan to construct sub-stations, connecting cables, supplying crane car and protective gears to conduct those works, electric meters and transformers and necessary workers for Dagon Myoth (South) Township and U Sai Ngaung Sai Hein of Maukmai constituency on a plan to support and provide assistant for round the clock electrification of Honant and Pandan village tracts in Maukmai Township were answered by Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy Dr. Tun Naing.

Questions raised by U Thaung Htay Lin of Patheingyi constituency on a plan to provide security at universities and colleges, Dr. U Khin Maung Maung of Dagon Myothit (North) constituency on a plan to practice parole system in Myanmar was answered by Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Maj-Gen Aung Thu.

Questions raised byU Tin Ko Ko Oo @ U Athut of Bilin constituency on whether an elected administrator can continue to serve while a criminal case or complaint was opened against him/her, U Toe Win of Tamway constituency on a plan to review the work of public servants and to reward outstanding public servants and U Phone Myint Aung of DaikU constituency on a plan to upgrade Phaung Daw Thi village tract in DaikU Township to a town were answered by Deputy Minister for the Office of the Union Government U Tin Myint.

Finally questions raised by U Zaw Min Thein of Laymyethna constituency on a plan to construct irrigation canals and gates to distribute irrigation water for summer paddy in Kyipaukgon, Kungyangon and Pandawgyi village tracts in Laymyethna Township and U Sai Oo Kham of Hsenwi constituency on a plan to establish a new land survey division under Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics in Shan State (North) and issue farmland work permit certificate (Form-7) were answered by Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw.

Government Guarantees, Pledges and Undertaking Vetting Committee report
After the asterisk marked question and answer session U Naing Naing Win of Tamu constituency, Daw Aye Mya Mya Myo of Kyauktan constituency, Daw Khin Than Nu of Mindon constituency, U Min Naung of Pinlebu constituency, U Kan Oo of Salin constituency and U Aung Kyaw Kyaw Oo of Hline constituency discussed the Government Guarantees, Pledges and Undertaking Vetting Committee report and committee member U Myo Naing table a motion for the Hluttaw to approve the report.

After obtaining the decision of the Hluttaw, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat announced the Hluttaw’s approval of the report.

Hluttaw discuss and approve a motion on agriculture

Next a motion urging the government to develop region wise marketable crops in agriculture sector by establishing model plots with agriculture experts and provide agriculture technique supports down to the farms tabled by U Tun Tun Naing of Kani constituency was discussed by U Nay Lin Aung of Mindat constituency, U Myint Kyi of Katha constituency and U Sein Win of Maubin constituency. Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw discussed in support of the motion.

As there was no objection from the Hluttaw after Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat obtained the wish of the U Tun Tun Naing to approve the motion, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker accordingly made an announcement of the motion being approved by the Hluttaw.

The 15th day meeting of the Second Pyithu Hluttaw’s 12th regular session is scheduled for 5 June it is learnt. — MNA
