A sixteen-year old high school student has died and his colleague was seriously injured in a traffic accident between a motorbike and a six-wheel truck in Myothit Township, Magway Region on 22 July.
The tragic accident happened between mileposts 74/7 and 65 on the Nay Pyi Taw-Kanbya Road near Lay Taing Sin Village, Myothit Township at around 4 p.m. on 22 July. A motorbike driven by a 16-year old student named Zeyar Tun together with his colleague Phyo Kyaw Thu, 16 years old crashed into a 6-wheeled truck coming from the opposite direction while attempting to overtake another car.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the spot and his friend was hurt critically in the incident. The injured boy was sent to a public hospital in Magway. Action is being taken against the motorcyclist (deceased) over the case by the local police station.—MOHA
