Yangon, 12 September
12 firefighters and five civilians were slightly injured in a fire in Dagon Myothit Township, Yangon Region on 10 September.
The fire broke out at a warehouse belonging to a man named U Tin Aye in Industrial Zone (1), Dagon Myothit Township at about 6:50 p.m. on 10 September. Firefighters put out the blaze by using 92 fire engines and fire extinguishers and the fire was brought under control about four hours later.
17 people including 12 firefighters sustained minor injuries in the fire and the injured are receiving medical treatment at public hospitals in Thingangyun and Dagon Myothit Townships.—MOHA
