19 people injured in head-on collision in Waw Township

As many as 19 people were injured in a head-on collision between two vahicles in Waw Township, Bago Region on 21 December.
    

The accident took place between mileposts 64/1 and 64/2 on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road near Ekarait Village, Waw Township at about 4 p.m. yesterday. A light with 18 people collided with a car coming from an opposite direction after the driver lost control of the vehicle. 19 people from both cars sustained injuries and they were sent to a public hospital in Waw Township.
    

Among the injured people, five people were severely injured in the incident. In connection with the case, the light truck driver named U Than Tin, 55 years old is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.—MOHA
