Two men were killed after being ambushed by unidentified armed men in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State on 13 August.
The 12-wheeled truck carrying 24 buffalos with four men aboard including the driver was attacked with light weapons by an armed group between mileposts 104/7 and 104/8 near Khoohn Village in Kyaukme Township on the Union Highway at about 8 a.m. on 13 August. One man has died on the spot and the driver sustained severe injuries in the head.
The driver was sent to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead while transferring to Mandalay People’s Hospital. The police launched an investigation into the attack.—MOHA
