Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a van and a motorbike in Zigon Township, Bago Region on 28 July.
The accident took place between mileposts 128/6 and 128/7 on the Yangon-Pyay Road near Wetkaw Village in Zigon Township, Bago Region at about 1:45 p.m. on 28 July. A van driven by a man identified as Ko Htwe, 43 years old collided with a motorbike coming from an opposite direction while attempting to overtake another car. The motorcyclist named Aung Soe, 37 years of age and his wife Ma Khin Mar Win, 33 years old were pronounced dead on the spot.
The bodies of the deceased were transported to a nearby public hospital. The van driver is being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.—MOHA
