2 soldiers, 2 terrorists killed in military operation in NW Pakistan

The Pakistani army said on Wednesday that it has killed two terrorists and injured four others during an operation in Khyber district of the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

 

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the army, said that a fire exchange took place between security forces and a group of terrorists in Tirah area of Khyber district on Tuesday.

 

The troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location and killed two of them and injured four others.

 

However, two soldiers embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly, said the ISPR.

 

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists.

 

"Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area," said the military, adding that security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and "such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve."
