20 injured in three-vehicle crash in Pantanaw Township

At least 20 people were injured in the accidents involving multiple cars in Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region.


The accident took place between milepost 58/5 and 58/6 on the Yangon-Pathein Road near Talotehtaw Village, Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region at about 11:05 a.m. on 8 October. A passenger bus driven by a man named Aung Thar Htet, 27 years old collided with a mini-truck while and overturned attempting to overtake another passenger bus after the driver lost control of the vehicle.


20 people from three vehicles were hurt in the accident and one of them was in critical condition. They were transferred to a public hospital and an investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.
