A 20-year old man has reportedly died and a 12-year old boy sustained minor injuries in a landslide in DaungU Village, Chaungzon Village in Mon State.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on 1 May when the victim dug the ground from a hill. The victim was killed on the scene and the boy was injured in the incident. The injured boy was sent to Mawlamyine Hospital through a rural hospital by members of a local social organization.
An investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police, according to a source from Chaungzon Myoma Police Station.—KA (Chaungzon)
