A total of 53 cases have been brought against illegal fishermen and 42 fishing boats with related items, 50 12-voltage batteries, five unlicensed motorbikes, three mobile phones and one unregistered vehicle were seized in eight townships in Sagaing region in 2018-2019 fiscal year.
A total of 21 fishermen who used the banned fishing materials were arrested during the said period, according to statistics of Sagaing region Fisheries Department.—Win Oo
