With the aim to cast advance votes for the elderly people in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region, ward and village-tract election sub-commission offices opened polling stations in compliance with the COVID-19 preventative measures. In the township, there are 26350 advance voters and all the voters began casting starting from 29 November. The advance voting can be conducted until 5 November.
In Kyaukse Township, there are 10 wards, 87 village-tracts and 223 villages and a total of 220 polling stations were opened for the upcoming general election that will be held on 8 November. In the township, there are 26350 advance voters aged 60 years old and above and 167521 eligible voters over age 18, according to the township election sub-commission office.
