265 Myanmar citizens repatriated from Thailand

257 Myanmar citizens and eight Myanmar nationals who served prison term in Thailand for breaching offenses totaling 265 came back home from Thailand through No.2 Friendship Bridge in Tachilek, Shan State on July 8.
    

The returnees were welcomed by Shan State MP U Sai Lone San Khat, Township Administrator U Chan Myae Saw and concerned officials. Upon their arrival at the border checkpoint, the returnees were conducted medical checkups and got temperature check by health officials. Medical examination for swab from the returnees may take five days or one week. They were quarantined at a religious edifice and foodstuff is supplied by well-wishers.
    

The returnees were accommodated at Aung Myat Hall and Mogok Dhamma Yeiktha for one night and were transferred to their homes. Tachilek residents would be quarantined, according to U Myint Naing, Deputy Commissioner.
