Arrangements are being made to distribute electricity through solar power to 29 villages in Lahe Township, Naga Self-Administered Zone in Sagaing Region during 2020-2021 FY, according to an official from the Regional Department of Rural Development.
The half of the cost of the solar power system will be provided by funds of Sagaing Regional Government and remaining amount will be paid by local residents. There are 2584 households in 29 villages in the township and all the households will be provided with 2584 pairs of solar panels. Upon completion, all the households will get access electricity through solar power system.
In 2019-2020 FY, four villages in Lahe Township and two villages in Nanyun Township were distributed electricity through solar power system.
