3 Lebanese security force members killed in armed attacks in northern city

Three members of Lebanon security force were killed and another civilian was wounded on Monday in armed attacks in Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli.

 


A security source told Xinhua that the gunmen clashed with a patrol of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces at the entrance to the city, which led to the fall of a security member, injury of another and the burning of one of their vehicles.

 


Another group of gunmen threw a sound bomb at the government headquarters in Tripoli, wounding one civilian, the source added.

 


Lebanese National News Agency reported that another member of the Internal Security Forces died from injuries sustained in the attacks, bringing the death toll to two.

 


At the same time, the Lebanese Army announced the death of one of the military and injuring others in three attacks.
