Up to 360 Japanese companies have offered jobs for over 1,500 Myanmar workers, Myanmar Embassy to Japan said in a statement.
It is the statement about 369 demand letters which were re-submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after verification until 7 May 2024.
According to it, more than 360 Japanese companies will recruit more than 500 Myanmar male workers and more than 1,000 Myanmar female workers and it added that the embassy has carried out verification of demand letters received from the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It verifies whether labour supervisory company and factories or companies which offered jobs in Japan are officially established or not, and re-submits its findings and remarks to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a statement released on 31 May about up to 400 demand letters, up to 1,300 Myanmar workers would be recruited. — MT/ZS
