3rd community fever clinic opens to public in Mandalay

Mandalay, 14 May

A community fever clinic was opened near Taguntaing Roundabout in Pyigyidagun Township in Mandalay this morning.

The facility was launched by the Myanmar Medical Association and the local government in order to provide free healthcare services to the needy people. “Our aim is to help the activities being undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Sports as much as we can,” said Dr. Khin Maun Kyaw, Chairman of Mandalay Region’s MMA COVID-19 Response Team.

First and second clinics were opened in Chanmyathazi and Aungmyethazan Townships and the newly-launched facility is the third of its kind in Mandalay. Two doctors will offer free healthcare services to the patient on a daily basis and donations are needed to set up similar clinics in the region.—Hteik Htar Naing (IPRD)
