4 dead, 2 injured as car overturns in Yedashe Township

Four people including one Buddhist monk were killed and two others injured after a car overturned on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Yedashe Township, Bago Region on 25 August.

The tragic accident took place between mileposts 170/6 and 170/7 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway at about 4:15 p.m. on 25 August. A car driven by a man named Phyo Thu Hein (alias) Bo Bo, 32 years old with five people aboard including two Buddhist monks flipped over after the driver lost control of the car.

Four people died on the spot and two others were injured in the incident. The injured people were transported to a nearby hospital and an action is being taken against the driver.—MOHA
