STATE Administration Council Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe attended the 51st Anniver­sary Mon State Day and state honorary titles giving ceremony in Mawlamyine yesterday.

The SAC Secretary attend­ed the message reading section for the 51st Mon State Day held at the Thamainbayan Ground. Also present at the event were SAC Members Porel Aung Thein, Mahn Nyein Maung, Dr Hmuh Thang, Khun San Lwin, Union Ministers U Min Naung, U Hla Moe, Khun Thant Zaw Htoo, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Kayin State Chief Minis­ter U Saw Myint Oo, the South- East Command commander, de­partmental officials and invitees.

They all saluted the State Flag and fallen heroes and sol­diers. Then, the SAC Secretary read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thud­hamma Min Aung Hlaing to the occasion.

The Mon State chief min­ister remarked and concluded the event.

The SAC Secretary and party also attended the State honorary titles-giving ceremony to mark the 51st Mon State Day at the City Hall of Mawlamyine.

The SAC Secretary and Members presented excellent awards in the economy, ag­riculture, livestock, industry, management, service and so­cial sectors, and posed for doc­umentary photos together with the awardees.

The SAC Secretary and par­ty proceeded to Baeyan Village in Mudon Township, heard the reports made by the Agriculture Department official, and inspect­ed the 100-acre model field in the village.

On arrival at the M Rubber factory in Kyaungthan Setyonzu, Mawlamyine, they heard the re­ports on rubber raw materials, storage, production processes, access to water and electrici­ty, occupational safety and job opportunities for locals. Then, they observed the factory com­pound and rubber production processes.

At noon, they inaugurated the five-storey Grand Mawlamy­ine Shopping Mall in Ward Phet­tan, Mawlamyine.

They also headed to Ywalut Village in Chaungzon Township and inspected the sales of local products, MSME products and handicrafts. They presented cash prizes to the craftsmen.

In the evening, the SAC Sec­retary and Members attended the dinner event at Thamain­bayan ground.

The Mon cultural troupes performed before the dinner, and the SAC Secretary presented awards to winners of the Thana­ka Beauty Queen Contest mark­ing the Mon State Day.

The SAC Secretary had dinner together with attendees and gave cash prizes and flower bouquets to the performers. — MNA/KTZH
