Fourteen people, including six children, died in a road accident in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh early on Friday, local police said.
The accident occurred when a vehicle rammed into a stationary truck on the Prayagraj-Lucknow highway in Pratapgarh district.
According to local media, all the 14 victims, aboard the vehicle, were on the way home after attending a marriage party.
Following the accident, local police reached the spot and used a gas cutter to separate the mangled remains of the vehicle from the truck. It took almost two hours for the police to take out bodies, according to media.
