Six people were killed and six others injured after a hi-jet overturned on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in TadaU Township, Mandalay Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
The fatal accident happened between mileposts 329/2 and 329/3 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway at about 4:10 p.m. on 1 March. A hi-jet driven by a man identified as Zaw Zaw, 50, flipped over after hitting a concrete median strip as the driver lost control of the car. Six people—five men and one woman—died on the spot and six others –five women and one man—sustained injuries in the incident.
Among the injured people, four women received severe injuries and all the traffic victims were sent to a public hospital in TadaU.—MOHA
