The Myanmar Police Force seized 6.1 million of stimulant tablets and 440 grammes of heroin in Mandalay Region on 22 November.
Acting on a tip-off, the authorities inspected the motorcycle of Kyaw Thu Lwin (aka) Mon Chay together with 60,000 stimulant tablets in Patheingyi Township.
Then, the police seized 6.04 million stimulant tablets in a house he rented in Aung Mingala Ward 1, Patheingyi Township, and 440 grammes of heroin at the hotel room at the corner of 35th and 54th streets, totalling 6.1 million stimulant tablets and 440 grammes of heroin worth over K9.1 billion.
After the investigation, another suspect Aung Khine Min (aka) Phoe Lone was arrested on 51st Street between 123rd Street and 124th Street in Mandalay. Offenders have been charged under the country’s laws, and a further investigation is ongoing. — MNA/KTZH
