80 Myanmar citizens expelled from Thailand

80 Myanmar who served prison term in Thailand for breaching offenses citizens returned to motherland from Thailand through No.2 Friendship Bridge in Tachilek, Shan State on July 1.
    

The returnees were welcomed by Shan State MP U Sai Lone San Khat, Township Administrator U Chan Myae Saw and concerned officials. Upon their arrival at the border checkpoint, the returnees were conducted medical checkups and got temperature check by health officials. Medical examination for swab from the returnees may take five days or one week. They were quarantined at a religious edifice and foodstuff is supplied by well-wishers.
    

So far, more than 300 people came back home from Laos while over 3000 Myanmar citizens returned from Thailand via Tachilek checkpoint druging the period from 23 Mar to 1 July.
