THE continuous recitation of seven Abhidhamma books was held at the Botahtaung Pagoda on the First Waso Full Moon Day, 29 June, according to the pagoda’s trustee board.
The recitation ceremony was led by Padamya Monastery ’ s Sayadaw and Setiyapala Monastery’s Sayadaw, and regional Sangha Nayaka Committee Chair Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Aggasami chanted the Five Precepts for the congregation to observe.
Monks and the audience recited together 24 Patthana conditions and Banaka Sayadaw continued the recitation of the Abhidhamma Pitaka, according to the pagoda’s trustees’ board. — MT/ZS
