Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is providing social pension to elderly people over 85-year old across the nation. During the outbreak of COVID-19, additional assistance is also provided to the elderly by the ministry.
Officials from the Department of Social Welfare provided social pension and additional assistance to 13 elderly people over 85-year old in Hsi Hseng Township, Pa’O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South) this morning.
With the joint cooperation of Department of Social Welfare and Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund, social pension for three months and K 30,000 of additional assistance were provided to each elderly in the town of Hsi Hseng.
In the township, there are a total of 76 elderly people and other remaining people will be provided via respective village administrators.
