Department of Agricultural Mechanization will assist farmers in timely cultivation of paddy in flooded paddy fields in Kyaikmaraw Township with its agricultural machines free of charge, according to an official.
Director-General U Soe Hlaing from Agricultural Mechanization Department met with farmers from Babugone village in Kyaikmaraw Township on 25 August.
He said that the ministry is making arrangements to provide paddy seeds to farmers who want to re-cultivate paddy when floodwaters in the paddy fields subsided. He also said that the department is planning to help farmers with agricultural machines in timely cultivation of paddy.—Cho Myat Myat Htwe ( Kyaikmaraw)
