Anti-grave violations working committee discusses reporting mechanism with CTFMR

The Working Committee for Preventing Grave Violations against Children in Armed Conflicts held a meeting with officials from the UN Country Task Force on Monitoring and Report (CTFMR) at the office of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement yesterday.


Led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, U Myint Thu, the working committee discussed with CTFMR on the action plan to implement a national reporting mechanism to prevent the maiming of, and sexual violence against children in conflict zones.


Also present at the meeting were working committee members from the ministries of defence, foreign affairs, information, labour, immigration and population, health and sports, office of the Union Government, and education, and the Union Attorney-General’s office and officials from CTFMR. — MNA
