Appreciation for Myanmar Public Health Conference 2023

According to one of the objectives of the Social Af­fairs of State Administra­tion Council (SAC), “To elevate the Health and Sports sectors in­clusive of all the people, improv­ing the longevity and health of the nation”, the Ministry of Health (MOH), Myanmar, laid down the two objectives, to enable every cit­izen to attain total life expectancy and enjoy longevity of life, and to ensure that every citizen is free from diseases.

 

SAC Chairman, Prime Minis­ter mentioned that in the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Health Sciences Conference in Naypy­itaw on 11 March 2023, “Not only the Ministry of Health and health experts but relevant departments, organizations and entire people are to join hands in ensuring the longevity of all the people and im­proving basic healthcare servic­es. They all should strive to raise health awareness of the people and for them to have healthy life­styles.”

 

To do that, the Ministry of Health is organizing the Myanmar Public Health Conference (MPHC) 2023, one of the leading communi­ty-based events of its kind bringing together professionals in the var­ious public health fields around the nation and internationally. The MPHC 2023 organizing committee is delighted to welcome all public health professionals to this confer­ence dated 6 to 7 December 2023 at Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory under the central theme; “Public Health: Improving the Longevity and Health of the Nation” for pub­lic health of entire nation.

 

MPHC (2023) will be held with the following objectives:

 

1. To share the local, region­al and global best practic­es and lessons learnt in public health

2. To explore innovative solu­tions and technologies to improve service coverage, quality and equity

3. To identify better solutions and future action plans for mitigating the key public health challenges in or­der to achieve targets in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Myan­mar Sustainable Develop­ment Plan (MSDP) 2018- 2030

4. To create interactive net­working at national and international levels to strengthen partnerships

5. To support and nurture the future public health leaders.

 

Before conducting the MPHC 2023, the health staff are doing pre-conference activities such as immunization, health education, elderly health care, screening and treatment of Communicable and non-communicable diseases, etc., all over the country.
