Armed robbers make off with K180 mln from Sittway KBZ bank

Four unidentified men robbed K180 million from a KBZ bank branch in Sittway, Rakhine State, yesterday with three of them managing to evade capture from authorities and disappear with the stolen money. The four men arrived at the KBZ branch-2 in Kyaypinkyee Ward around 4:15 pm in a mini truck and threatened the people inside the bank with their knives before grabbing the K180 million on the counter and running away.

 

Security forces managed to capture one of the robbers and are continuing their pursuit of his accomplices and the stolen money, reports the Tatmadaw True News Information Team. —MNA
