The 2024 ASEAN Cup group stage matches will commence on 8 and 9 December.
The competition will be divided into two groups of five teams each. Group A will feature Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste, while Group B includes Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos.
The group stage matches will be held from 8 to 21 December, with the opening matches taking place on 8 December. Host Cambodia will face Malaysia at 5:15 pm Myanmar Standard Time (MST) followed by Timor-Leste against Thailand at 7:30 pm MST.
Myanmar will play against Indonesia at Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon at 7 pm MST on 9 December and Laos will compete with Vietnam in Laos at 7:30 pm MST.
The Myanmar team is currently undergoing final preparations for the tournament and is focusing on securing a positive result in the opening match against Indonesia. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
