Aung La N Sang back to action against Shamil Erdogan

FORMER two-division World Champion Aung La N Sang returns to action at the ONE-168 event, which ONE Championship will be held in the United States on 6 September (7 September Myanmar Standard Time). The Myanmar MMA icon will battle against Turkish big fighter Shamil Erdogan in the middleweight clash.

ONE Championship released their fight news on 26 June. More than a year after his last fight against Chinese fighter Fan Rong, Aung La has not fought since signing a contract extension with the ONE Championship organization. Now he is back in action, bearing full of energy to face against the undefeated fighter.

Myanmar's icon Aung La has won four and lost one amid five bouts since losing two championship belts. Although he has won his last three bouts, including his bout against Chinese fighter Fan Rong, ONE has only designated this bout as a middleweight challenger.

Erdogan, Aung La's rival, also beat Chinese fighter Fan Rong in the mid of 2023, walking his undefeated path smartly. Erdogan's fight against Aung La is exciting because he has won every battle in his professional MMA career. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
