The authorities confiscated WY brand stimulant tablets at the mile post 63/0 on Yangon-Pathein road near Aungmingala Bridge, Kyaungkung Township, Pathein District in Ayeyawady Region yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Capt Nyeinchan Kyaw together with witnesses searched a motorbike driven by Han Min, 20, with Kaung Htet Khant (a) Waibukay, 20, onboard and discovered 10 stimulant tablets from them.
Further information led to the search of Nay Tun Ko of Pantanaw, Ayeyawady Region. The investigation revealed that the drug users Han Min and Kaung Htet Khant (a) Waibukay are from East Ward, Bogyoke Road, Pantanaw. An investigation is ongoing to expose Nay Tun Ko.
The authorities filed charges against the three under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Win Kyaing (IPRD)
