Authorities seize drugs in Naunghkio, Laukkaing Tsp

Policemen from Lashio Anti-Drug Squad-24 on 23 March intercepted a passenger vehicle near a toll gate in Naunghkio and discovered heroin weighing 484 grams in 44 soap boxes, 14600 stimulant tablets and a mobile phone from a passenger named Laukwin, according to Information released by the Myanmar Police Force.


In a similar incident, the Myanmar security forces also searched a motorbike driven by Lilauk Sang at the junction of Kapuchaing Village, Laukkaing Township, seized 3980 stimulant tablets from him.


The authorities filed charges against the two under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MPF
