Chief Minister of Bago Region U Win Thein held a discussion with delegates from MNO Ltd at his office in Bago yesterday afternoon.
Managing Director of MNO Ltd U Tun Tun Win said that the group wants to build a pharmaceutical factory capable of creating over 3,000 job opportunities in Bago Township. Basic salary for each employee would start K 500,000 and the factory would be built in a location which is far from residential areas, he added.
The chief minister welcomed the investment proposal, saying the local government would assist the firm in securing suitable land plot for construction of the pharmaceutical factory in accordance with the guidance issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The event was also attended by members of the local government, departmental staff and representatives from MNO Ltd.
