A basic first aid course was opened at the theatre hall of the Myingyan Degree College in Myingyan, Mandalay Region on 24 July.
At the opening ceremony, Principal of the Myingyan Degree College Dr. Maung Maung made a speech and Township Administrator U Nyi Nyi Aung briefed about importance of the first aid activities, preparations that should be made to assist the victims in natural disaster affected areas and practical methods that can be applied in student’s sport events. Next, a course instructor clarified matters relating to the importance of first aid and the intention of the course.
Also present on the occasion were faculty members and students. The 10-day training course is being attended by 175 trainees.—Zaw Min Naing (Myingyan)
