A ceremony to conclude basic sewing course-1/2019, organized by the Department of Rural Development, was held at its meeting hall in Mrauk-U, Rakhine State on 27 May.
Also present on the occasion were officials from the Township GAD, the District DRD, the Township DRD, the Township Planning Department, Departmental staff, community leaders, course instructors and trainees.
First of all, staff officer U Tun Naing Thu of the Township DRD delivered an opening speech and said that the course was opened with a view to creating job opportunities and boosting income of rural people.
This was followed by presentation of completion certificates and sewing machines to each trainee. The seven-day course was attended by 25 trainees from villages in the Township. Finally, a trainee spoke words of thanks on behalf of the trainees.—District IPRD
