Cambodia's Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, drew 33,991 Chinese tourists during the first half of 2026, an official report showed on Thursday.

China was the fourth-biggest source of international tourists to the ancient site from January to June this year, the state-owned Angkor Enterprise's report said.

In June alone, Angkor welcomed 4,272 Chinese visitors, propelling China to the second-highest spot for international tourist arrivals to the park, according to the report.

Located in northwestern Siem Reap province, the 401-square-kilometer Angkor Archaeological Park is the kingdom's most popular tourist destination. It features 91 ancient temples built between the ninth and 13th centuries.
