Canada mourns plane crash victims

Sixty-three Canadian nationals were on board the Ukrainian passenger jet that crashed in Iran on Wednesday.

Vigils have been held across Canada to mourn the victims. In Ottawa, people lit candles to remember those who died in the crash.

They include a gifted pianist, families with children and academics.

There are no direct flights between Iran and Canada.

The two countries suspended diplomatic relations in 2012.
