A ceremony to provide cash aids to farmers whose monsoon paddy fields were destroyed by flood in Kyaikmaraw Township was held at the Township General Administration Department this morning.
At the ceremony, MP U Saw Kyaw Win Maung of Pyithu Hluttaw gave remarks and an official from the Department of Agriculture clarified the purpose of providing cash aids.
A total of 655 farmers from 27 village-tracts who belong to the remaining 2595 acres of paddy fields were provided a total of K 25,950,000 at a rate of K 10,000 per acre by the officials.
At the ceremony, MPs of Hluttaw, departmental personnel, ward and village administrators and farmers were in attendance.
