Officials from Minhla Township Department of Disaster Management made a domiciliary visit to provide cash aids to storm victims in four villages in Minhla Township, Thayet District, Magway Region on 24 May.
First, Chairman of Township Disaster Management Committee gave opening remarks and an official from the Township Department of Disaster Management clarified the purpose of the provision.
Due to the strong winds that hit the township on 23 May, 55 houses and a monastery were partially destroyed and a house collapsed. Therefore, officials provided cash aids to victims for purchasing building materials and rice. The rescue kit with 16 items was provided to a household whose house collapsed. Then, the officials provided necessary assistance for the repair of the victims’ houses.
