Thayawady, 3 June
An event to provide cash assistance and relief items to fire victims was held in Yawthittan Ward in Thayawady Township of Bago Region this morning. The fire was believed to have been started from an ember left in the house.
On the occasion, officials from the township Department of Disaster Management under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided a total of K 206300 for purchasing rice and building materials, and rescue kit box with 16 items to three fire victims from a family.
Fire broke out on 1 June in Ywathittan Ward in Thayawady Township and totally destroyed the house. But no casualties are reported.—Thant Zaw(IPRD)
