An event to provide cash assistance and relief items to fire victims was held in Myoma-1 Ward in Mudon Township of Mon State yesterday.
At the event, officials from the Township Disaster Management Department under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided a total of K 837800 including K 800000 for purchasing construction materials and K 37800 for purchasing rice and rescue kit box with 16 items worth K 270726 to 18 fire victims from four households in the Township.
Similarly, the Township Red-Cross Society also provided household goods, personal hygiene products and kitchen appliances to fire victims.
Due to overheated power bank, fire broke out on December 23 in Myoma-1 Ward in the Town of Mudon and completely destroyed four houses.—Thar Nge(IPRD)
