Kyikha, 20 January
A ceremony to wrap up children literacy festival, jointly organized by the township IPRD and the town Education department, was held at B.E.H.S in the town of Kyikha, Chin State on 18 January.
First, students from B.E.H.S sang an opening song and students from Khawivung school performed a traditional dance. This was followed by the presentation of awards to students who won the prize in the competitions by officials.
Next, Minister for Chin state Social Affairs U Pau Lun Min Thang presented certificate of honor to donors who organized children literacy festival. Then, Rev. Ning Kham Suan said prayers and gave blessing, which brought the event to an end.
Also present on the occasion were the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Kham Thang, the Amyotha Hluttaw Representative Daw Cin Ngaih Man, the Town Administrator U Nay Zaw Aung, departmental officials, teachers and students.—Salai Ling Mang, IPRD
