Chinese Embassy's Chargé d’affaires ai expresses support for Myanmar in finding development path aligned with national conditions

China supports Myanmar’s search for a development path that suits its national condi­tions, said Ms Cao Jing, Chargé d’affaires ai of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Myanmar.

 

She made those words at a ceremony celebrating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of Chi­na (PRC) held at Wyndham Grand Hotel in Yangon on 26 September.

 

She also added that China sincerely hopes that Myanmar will enjoy political stability and economic growth and that its people will live a happy life.

 

She continued that China will join hands with Myanmar to carry forward the tradition­al Pauk-Phaw friendship that deepens more through bilat­eral relations.

 

She said, "China works to­gether with Myanmar and pro­vides assistance in economy and trade, culture and educa­tion, poverty reduction, energy and communication sectors."

 

She continued that China supports Myanmar in imple­menting over 100 projects that deliver benefits to the people under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation framework.

 

Myanmar entrepreneurs were also invited to the Chi­na-ASEAN Expo, and Chi­na-South Asia Expo recently and it was a platform to intro­duce Myanmar's products to the world.

 

Chinese President Xi Jin­ping visited Myanmar in 2020 and opened a new chapter in China-Myanmar relations. Currently, the two countries are implementing the results of that visit, she added.

 

The ceremony was attend­ed by Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Plan­ning and Finance U Win Shein, Deputy Minister for Informa­tion Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun and invitees. — KNL/KTZH
