Classes suspended at 39 schools in Madaya due to flooding

THIRTY NINE schools in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, have to be temporarily closed because of flooding by the River Ayeyawady, according to the Township Education Department.

The education department initially closed only 13 schools. Afterwards, another 26 schools were closed on 20 July.

The closed schools include high schools, middle schools and primary schools.
